What are the consequences of the coronavirus on the production workshops? All over the world, during Fair Fashion Week, the hashtag #whomademyclothes is utilized on interpersonal networks to promote more transparency and improved working conditions in the textile industry. As a manufacturer, we take our responsibility: we ourselves visit the factories where our garments are created. We only work with reliable suppliers, who will guarantee us that our clothes are manufactured under fair working conditions.” #Imadeyourclothes
What does the beginning of a brand new year look like?
Stephanie:”Combine a colorful shorts with a dress or paperbag pants: consistently successful and elegant!”
Be a designer at a Belgian fashion company. This is (fashion) music to the ears of many fashionistas! Just what is your occupation?
Karen:”We see animal prints, although this season may be more exotic. In addition, orange attracts attention and maxi dresses continue to score points. This season, bet on pastel shades that can be styled in a relaxed and joyous manner.”

Which trend would you rather have?

. Each month we select our favourite appearance which wins a $50 gift certificate!
Our quality control ensures that each garment meets strict European standards when it comes to safety. For instance, the neck should always be large enough and I often make sure that there is a complete opening at the trunk. You won’t locate ropes or other (potentially) harmful elements in our baby collection!

Tine:”Due to the corona crisis, solidarity is more significant than ever. In consultation with our factories and suppliers, we attempt to reduce damage at every link in the series. Our customers must also be able to continue buying from us with confidence: Belgian and fair!” #Jachetebelge #imadeyourclothes
Stephanie:”I select the white ice cream printing t-shirt in the girls collection. Blend it with the light pink blouse: perfect fit for little princesses!”
Stephanie:”It sounds funny and it is. (laughs) I look the collection for girls and infants from A to Z. As a member of the Fair Wear Foundation, transparency and interaction with factories is vital. Our CSR department guarantees that all clothing is created under fair working conditions. It gives confidence to us to the consumer.”
Karen:”A stylist has to be creative, but also take funds into consideration. After acceptance of our set by the buying section, we set the sheets (buttons, substances,…) for our quality management section. He makes sure the match is perfect and that each garment meets our durability requirements ”
Tine:”We are attempting to reduce our ecological footprint as far as possible (in particular our CO2 emissions) thanks to many different initiatives. We have launched our eco-friendly accordingly GOOD therefore YOU ​​collection, created using sustainable materials. Together, We’re committed to improving working conditions within our production workshops.”
Stephanie:”Together with our group of five, we now set the color scheme. We investigate trends and store in Amsterdam, London, Paris… It’s fascinating to see the way that trends are interpreted overseas and how they evolve.”

Karen:” I prefer a maxi dress with a handbag in raffia: instant holiday look guaranteed!”
Sustainable entrepreneurship is a process that never ceases, but collectively we’re committed to honest and adorable clothes, day in and day out. You too ?
Karen:” We collect website photos or are making mood boards. As a stylist, you discover inspiration almost everywhere: from a visit to a museum visit or a restaurant excursion: our branches are always on the lookout (laughs).”
Are there any other guidelines for infants?
Just as there will be a period before and after the coronavirus, there’s been a period before and following the Rana Plaza (Bangladesh) catastrophe. We commemorate the latter throughout Fashion Revolution Week from frock design. Let us take a close look at sustainability at Bel & Bo and also our approach during the corona catastrophe. We spoke with Tine, CSR manager.
Stephanie:” Then the actual creation starts. I will make sure each girl finds something she likes: a more rebellious look, a look.”

Stephanie:” In the girls’ collection, we see a good deal of’paperbag’ pants. Even floral prints continue to blossom. We see longer fluorescent beams which give a Bit More spice.”

Stephanie:”I insist that every item of clothing is more friendly and comfortable for mom and daughter. The jumpsuits appear excellent, but not so easy to put on and remove. That is why I aim a closure with snaps or that I design a”fake” combination which consists of 2 bits. A flexible waist and a elastic are also essential. A kid grows up quickly.”
