Apart from Square’s public presentation, which was open to both media types and lovers at this year’s PAX Prime, we were also able to sit down with ffxiv data centres manufacturer Naoki Yoshida to get a more romantic interview session.

Much like the public session, Yoshida started with a handful of prepared statements that focused on Square’s admiration for its faithful fans and its continued acknowledgment of the missteps with both version 1.0 and version 2.0’s launching problems. Yoshida explained that Square didn’t expect how large the demand would be for A Realm Reborn, due partly to the former version’s issues and because a comprehensive reboot hasn’t been done in the MMO space earlier.

Also under consideration is the potential for combining two jobs to create a third, such as White and Black Mages mixing to create a Red Mage.
He also laughed and said that there is a”high possibility” of new occupations debuting prior to future expansions.

After that, we asked how daily quests will differ from guild leves. Basically the dailies will be utilized to expand on the narrative behind the monster tribes on the planet. The quests will explain lifestyle, motivation, and several other factors associated with what specific groups are doing in Eorzea. And of course there’ll be thing rewards that are not available everywhere.
